So this is a little backwards, but we've been so busy since being here it is hard to write. Usually I write in a little journal which is great to reflect on when looking back months or years from now.
We left on 23rd of December, Albany to Newark then to Paris. Upon arriving our flight was already delayed so my old business travel instincts kicked in to have us get on an earlier flight if room (there was) - that was late leaving too but at least it would mean a better chance of not cutting it close for the Newark to Paris leg. We were on a little puddle hopper/jumper (turbo prop plane) which was pretty bumpy all the way - but the reward in the end is great :-)
We took United this time. I'm not sure if I've ever taken it to Europe before, but this would be first trip to Paris via United. I do miss the cheese and free beverages...it isn't cheap to fly and United charges for that little bottle of wine. The flight left almost an hour late, but with huge tail winds let us make up time. The last 20 minutes into Paris was rocky as they had high winds...tippy wings and bumps...glad that didn't last too long.
Customs were a breeze as was getting luggage. In stopping for the toilettes, they had a projected graphic of an aquarium on the floor with fish moving around - many clown fish...and, when you walked through it...the "water" rippled...pretty cool and appropriately place...unless you really had to go bad...hahaha...and saw another that was a soccer field...I'm not sure if that "did anything."
